3-5 "Big" Sets of Spotted Strict Muscle Ups
THE FOCUS
Volume. Strict muscle ups are an increasingly important skill to have in CrossFit, and it is such a specific, technical, and difficult skill that doing high reps with assistance is a great protocol.
THE NOTES
These can be self spotted, or by spotted by a friend. The spotter should only be assisting through any sticking points, and they should make it possible to do about a third more reps then if you go on your own. Don't give less effort because a spotter is there! The spotter is there to give the least amount of support as possible for the reps to be completed.
Spotters - be sure to give enough support so that the reps can be performed at near perfect execution, but don't do all of the work.
