THE WORK

  • Halting Pistol Hops
    • 25 each leg

THE FOCUS

In order to hop onto the plate, you will have to explode from your hips after that pause position. That is very useful in all forms of squatting.

THE NOTES

Halting Pistol Hops

Begin the pistol as normal, by descending to the bottom and beginning to return to the top. Pause 1/2 way through the ascent for 2 seconds, then hop laterally on to a 25lb plate. Switch legs.

Scaling Options

If you are unable to do pistols, do 1/2 pistol pauses with a hop. So you will only go 1/2 way down, pause for 2 seconds, then hop laterally onto a plate.
